I’m Camy Totah- a documentary photographer, community coordinator, and visual storyteller deeply rooted in the vibrant culture of the San Francisco Bay Area. Growing up in the South Bay, I channeled my passion for creativity and communication into a diverse academic journey, studying Marketing, Gender Studies, and Studio Art Practice at San Jose State University. It was here that I discovered my love for photography/videography, linocut carving, and building mindful communities.
As a proud Palestinian-American, the significance of gathering and communication has always been at the heart of my journey. These cultural foundations inspire my work, driving me to grow and nurture communities through visual storytelling with consideration of long term societal impact.
I’m dedicated to building meaningful connections through shared visual and hands-on experiences that allow us to expand and heal as a collective. I actively seek opportunities to learn and collaborate with creatives, businesses, and brands that resonate with my mission ground society in our interconnectedness to nature and one another.
Through my creative practices and projects, I set out to honor authenticity and embrace unique perspectives through a lifestyle lens. By engaging in local events, gallery openings, outdoor adventures, and community gatherings, I continuously cultivate relationships that fuel my passion and purpose.
